The brand allows designer John Murrough the opportunity to express his combined African, English and American sensibilities and fully explore his love of flawed and washed leathers, fleece and denim. Illia débuted exclusively through Barneys New York with quiet but impressive success. The fashion forward collections are a staple of such distinguished stores as Neiman Marcus, Calypso and Barneys New York.

Murrough and business partner Robbie Moray launched the illia brand in Spring of 2009 with a core collection of sophisticated, distressed leather pieces. The newest collections still represent cutting edge use of leather and suede mixed with rib, fleece and denim. Illia is constructed in Los Angeles with impeccable craftsmanship.
